NEET UG 2024 : CONTROVERSY CONTINUES UNABATED

The Supreme Court has observed what many others believe in i.e. Governments may come and go but the thoughts and legacy of compassion and justice must live on. Hence, despite persistent efforts of the striking students and a large number of petitions challenging the NTA and its functionaries in different courts of the country, the Apex Court has taken , what I feel is a right decision of issuing notices to the Centre and NTA on NEET UG 2024 and seeking their reply by the 08 th. July 2024 when the courts re-open besides staying all similar proceedings before different High Courts.

AN APIARY CALLED NATIONAL TESTING AGENCY

Till sometime back, it was thought that extending the dates for submission of the application forms was only the beginning of the chapter. Logically they were not wrong either because someone in the NTA and/or the HRD Ministry took personal interest in the matter.

THE GUARANTEE BUBBLE

Populism may get a party or its leaders some votes or even power, but does not offer credibility in the long run. Promising guarantees, but not being honest towards fulfilling them breed dissatisfaction among the people who look up to the government and its leaders for justice and timely action.

NEET UG 2024 AND FATHER'S DAY.

The 6th April 1993 will always be remembered as one of the most magical moments of my life, when my son was born and I held him for the first time after his birth. I still remember his first cry on meeting the real world. Presently, he is in Pune working with a startup and I feel elated as a father that he has successfully managed to scale all adversaries till now and complete all responsibilities entrusted on him. Spending quality time with him ( whenever he comes to Jabalpur ) still remains one of my favourite pastimes.

Students on Streets and Shameless System

Students across the nation have taken to the streets to protest against the glaring irregularities in NEET 2024. There is widespread anger among students and their parents, who believe that NTA's negligence and corruption led to a significant paper leak, resulting in a cut-off increase by 50-60 marks. NTA exacerbated the situation by awarding grace marks arbitrarily. In a public notice issued on June 6, NTA admitted to granting grace marks to over 1,500 students.

Based on this concept, the notion of Patient Rights has been developed across the globe in the last few decades. In other words, the patient is entitled to certain amount of protection to be ensured by physicians, healthcare providers and the State, which have been codified in various societies and countries in the form of Charters of Patient’s Rights. The National Council for Clinical Establishments has  approved that  a patient and his/her representative has the certain rights with respect to the clinical establishments
