Government of India has launched a free coaching platform for NEET, JEE, UPSC aspirants recently and students preparing for competitive exams such as JEE and NEET are getting highly benefited from the platform as it provides preparation material in English, Hindi and other regional languages.
Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan recently launched the Self-Assessment Test and Help for Entrance Exams (SATHEE) portal, a self-paced assessment platform. The platform has been developed by University Grants Commission (UGC), Ministry of Education and IIT, Kanpur.
Students preparing for competitive exams such as JEE and NEET will be highly benefited from the platform as it provides preparation material in English, Hindi and other regional languages.
Sathee will also give advantage to candidates preparing for the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) and Common Admission Test (CAT) exams.
The platform has recorded videos by IIT and Indian Institute of Science (IISc) faculty members, professors and teachers. Through these videos, students can understand and learn concepts at their own pace.
UGC chairman M Jagadesh Kumar said that Sathee that will help students to prepare for competitive and other exams.
“This platform aims to bridge the gap for the students in society who can’t afford the costly entrance exam guidance and coaching. It aims to make the students learn the concepts and focus on their weak topics so they feel confident to give any exams by watching videos prepared by IIT and IISc faculty members,” Kumar said.
How to use Sathee platform
-Visit the https://sathee.prutor.ai/ website and browse through the portal.
-Start learning from in depth video lectures by IIT professor
-Get access to forums / mentors for doubt clearing and problems solution
-Test your knowledge with topic / subjects / complete tests
-Analyse and improve yourself using detailed analytics
Training (NCERT) syllabus topics. “This will involve refresher courses for Class 11 and [Class] 12 students, and later for Class 9 and [Class] 10 students. This is because Classes 9 and 10’s topics form the foundational basis for the higher classes,” the officials said.
“Making the portal ‘entrance exam agnostic’ will help more students access it to prepare for their Board exams too,” Mr. Kumar said.
The MoE is also studying analytics data released by the NTA to check which States have lower number of students enrolling for entrance tests. “We are involving SATHEE mitras (friends) to increase rural coverage of students appearing for entrance tests, including the JEE and NEET,” the MoE official said.
SATHEE has launched a 45-day crash course for aspirants to test their level of preparation. “SATHEE hosts live and recorded lectures, expertly designed curriculum, and doubt-clearing sessions [for students] to brush up their knowledge,” Prof. Ganesh said.
