New Revelations Intensify NEET 2024 Controversy

As the controversy surrounding NEET 2024 deepens, new facts are continuously emerging. On one hand, the Bihar Police investigation is unveiling new details daily, while on the other, the analysis of the NEET 2024 results is also revealing significant information that cannot be ignored.

The exam first came under scrutiny due to 67 students achieving perfect scores of 720. As new information emerged, the controversy escalated. Dozens of petitions have already been filed in the Supreme Court, with many more in process. The National Testing Agency (NTA) argues that it found nothing unusual in the results from the Patna and Godhra centers, noting that these centers' results were below the national average. However, this argument is seen as not only simplistic but also an attempt to distract from the main allegations.

The NTA's reasoning is considered naive because it suggests that if these students had benefited from leaked papers, their scores would also have been 720. The reality is that many NEET aspirants have such low IQs that their actual NEET scores would be negative. Even if such candidates were given the exam answers the night before, it is unlikely they would score more than 300-400.

Furthermore, media investigations have uncovered numerous details about the paper leak. The leak is not confined to just these two centers. According to information shared by the media, the Bihar Economic Offenses Unit found that the paper was disseminated via WhatsApp in Bihar. A report by the Deccan Chronicle also revealed that the paper was leaked on a Telegram channel the night before the exam. Consequently, the investigation cannot be limited to Patna and Godhra alone, as such a broad-scale leak can only  explain the significant rank inflation observed.

Media reports indicate that the NEET paper was leaked on a massive scale. Many students who failed their board exams are now NEET toppers. Reports also suggest that some students bought the leaked paper for as much as 3-4 million rupees. Some coaching centers are showing unusually high results, which further highlights the need for an impartial investigation by a court-monitored agency to uncover the truth.
