Massive protest by Doctors in Delhi
In an unprecedented show of solidarity, more than ten thousand doctors and healthcare workers converged in Delhi today, staging a massive rally that sent shockwaves across the nation. Beginning at Maulana Azad Medical College and intended to reach Rajghat, the event took an unexpected turn when police erected heavy barricades. Undeterred, the medical community made a resounding statement by sitting on the road in protest for over an hour. A remarkable display of unity, the procession included a line of over 100 ambulances that stretched for miles, underscoring the unwavering support of healthcare professionals. This historic gathering brought together members of the Delhi Medical Association (DMA), doctors from various nursing homes, the Indian Dental Association, and the Residents Doctors Association of Delhi Hospitals, standing side by side in an extraordinary demonstration of solidarity. The doctors had a clear message: they were protesting against the unjust treatment they've endured from authorities and the alarming surge in violence against healthcare workers. The rally reached its powerful conclusion at Shaheedi Park, symbolizing the unwavering determination and resilience of those who dedicate their lives to the well-being of others. Leading this momentous procession were key figures in the medical community, including DMA President Dr. Ashwini Dalmiya, Chairman Dr. Vinay Agrwal, Chief Coordinator Dr. Arun Gupta, Convenor Dr. Girish Tyagi, Secretary Dr. Bedi, and a host of other senior medical activists.
