Dr. Devi Shetty, Chairman of Narayana Health and Narayana Health Insurance, emphasized the need for such a plan: "India requires 70 million surgeries annually, yet only 20 million are performed due to financial constraints. 'Aditi' is designed to protect families from the financial burdens of medical expenses, providing peace of mind during challenging times."

The 'Aditi' plan will initially be available in Mysuru and Bengaluru, followed by Kolkata and Delhi. The plan targets individuals aged 18 and above, with family coverage options that include up to two adults and four children.

• Surgical Coverage: Up to Rs 1 crore for critical surgeries, including heart, kidney, and lung transplants.
• Medical Treatment Coverage: Up to Rs 5 lakh for various medical treatments.
• Limited Emergency Coverage: Outside the Narayana Health network, emergency coverage is available at select hospitals.

'Aditi' aims to provide a seamless and efficient insurance experience, with coverage primarily within the Narayana Health network, ensuring minimal administrative hurdles and access to experienced doctors and advanced medical facilities. The 'Aditi' plan is being introduced as a pilot project in Mysuru, Mandya, and Chamraj Nagar, with plans to expand to Bengaluru in the coming weeks. The initial rollout will help gather feedback and adapt the plan for optimal service and scalability.
