Why ReNEET should be done?

Why ReNEET should be done?

Why ReNEET should be done?

1. PAPER LEAK IN THE ERA OF SOCIAL MEDIA AMOUNTS TO MASS LEAK

* It is alleged that the exam paper was leaked from Hazaribagh on 4th May 2024. The paper was sent to a solver gang via WhatsApp. Printed copies of the solved paper were provided to candidates in Patna on the night of 4th May 2024. Around 30 students learned the paper overnight and wrote the exam the next day. Candidates have confessed that the same questions appeared in the exam. Burnt pieces of the paper were recovered by Patna police. Upon matching, 68 questions from the burnt pieces corresponded with the leaked paper. Unidentified Beneficiaries: Many who benefitted from the paper leak have yet to be identified. The kingpin, Sanjiv Mukhiya, and his close aide Rocky are still at large. Mukhiya operates a pan-India gang with a structured organization, suggesting a wider dissemination of the paper.

* Telegram Leak Allegations: Many students allege that the paper was available on a Telegram channel on 4th May 2024.This issue should have been investigated by the cybercrime unit.

2. STATISTICALLY UNEXPECTED RANK INFLATION SUPPORTS PAPER LEAK.

Rank inflation is more in Marks in range of 620 to 720 as compared to 320 to 420. Statistically it is around 810 % which defies all logic .

Our rebuttal to NTA explanation on marks inflation

It was not an Easy question paper: The Court can constitute a committee of experts to judge the same but as per the petioners experience and feedback from students and experts and experts this is not true. Difficulty level was same as 2023

No impact of Reduced syllabus: the NTA reduced some chapters which were relatively easy from the overall course 3-4 months before the exam but added few topics from the practical part. This discredits the agency’s claims since overall the proportion of difficult chapters became higher and also addition of few topics did not bring down the number of topics to be covered significantly. Also questions were asked from deleted topics like Rolling motion and Radioactivity .

Increased competence of students is purely a hypothetical fact and does not hold water when we consider a large population which is supposed to have a bell-shaped normal distribution curve regardless of the sample size.

Increase number of students taking the exam: 14.5% year on year increase in the number of students in 2024 is less than the 15.4% year on year increase seen in 2023.

3. WORST AFFECTD ARE STUDENTS WITH MARKS 620 TO 650 .

The only point against ReNEET is the interest of students who have scored marks above 680 . However the worst affected are students between 620 to 650 as they are equally vulnerable to the results of Re NEET. When they are not scared of appearing in a re exam why should it be a problem for a genuine high scoring student . This raises eyebrows to possible lateral entry of many such high scoring students .

4.ZERO TOLERANCE TOWARDS LOSS OF SANCTITY OF AN EXAM WHICH CREATES DOCTORS

As per previous judgements of the Honorable court even a 0.01% fallacy in conduction of such Medical level entrance exam which ultimately deals with human life will not be tolerated . Every one will doubt the credibility of 2024 batch of doctors for times to come .

5. GROSS IRREGULARITIES IN THE SOP ‘S FOLLOWED BY NTA

* Re opening of registration window after 22 days .

* Re choice given for examination center .

* Denial by NTA regarding paper leaks .

* NTA did not inform about giving grace marks till nationwide uproar occurred.

* OMR sheet and score card mismatch.

* Officials appointed for exams were not adequately trained which is evident from time loss at centers and wrong distribution of papers at may places .

* The EOU report mentioned violations in paper handling .

* Paper sent through E Rikshaws without proper security .

* Attempted manipulation in OMR sheets evident from LATUR arrests.

6 .ENORMOUS BACKLOG OF THIS YEAR ON NEET 2025 ASPIRANTS

If RE NEET is not conducted or huge number of lateral entry students not identified & removed , the meritorious students who do not get medical seat this year will try in 2025. The result of this skewed balance will have an after effect on the students of not only this year but also in the subsequent two to three years .

7. SOCIAL IMPACT

The irregularities in NEET 2024 has deeply affected the confidence and psyche of the children and their families.

Their juniors and younger siblings have lost trust in the system and don’t want to become doctors any more .

8.LOSS OF CREDIBILITY OF INDIAN EDUCATION SYSTEM ON GLOBAL FRONT

The entire world is watching what has happened in the present NEET row and paper leaks and what action our country is taking If nothing concrete is done there will be loss of credibility of our children who apply in foreign universities in times to come .
