Truth is our original quality, but we take to lying at times for short term gains but truth reveals whatever we wish to hide and always wins. We were taught that lying was a sin, but when it comes to getting your way, have you resorted to lying ?
Some thoughts like these come to my mind when I find Mr. Subodh Kumar Singh of the NTA lying that there was no proof of any paper leak in the recent NEET UG 2024 medical entrance exam.
In the past too, the NTA has denied any change in the merit list due to award of grace marks to some students due to time wastage. ( Some students complained that they were not compensated with grace marks inspite of similar situation ).
Then all of a sudden, the NTA back tracked and decided to withdraw the grace marks awarded to 1563 students, but in lieu offered them a choice between accepting their original marks or reappearing . But, why restrict a re- exam to only 1563 VIP students when the entire 23.33 lakh students and the merit list was affected ?? And what about the agency that was responsible for the question papers and answer sheets reaching the examination centres in time ??
With every passing day bringing in newer inputs regarding the paper leak, its modus operandi, money transacted and people involved, it will not be long before the entire suspense will surface and we can possibly witness the involvement of the big sharks of the game i.e.bureaucrats, politicians and education mafia in this and other admission scandal involving the students of the entire country.
