The educated youth of today have no idea about what they wished to do or be in life. They stare at an uncertain future painting themselves as ordinary caparisoned by their own limitations, castrated with realities and vagaries of a difficult life. They have aspirations but no inspiration to stretch themselves beyond their narrow confines of moderate or even below moderate resources.
They wish to do well in life, but do not possess skills or qualities and inwardly stare at an uncertain future. Adding to their misery, some teachers in schools or elders in the family feed them on unrealistic dreams which do not ignite their minds leading to unemployment. Assailed by such limitations, countless number become victims of serious anxieties about their future.
An improvement in the jobs scene could be associated with a proportionate improvement in the quality of their life, but here too the government fumbled and instead of creating employment it preferred to adopt populist measures and announced monthly financial assistance thereby dis incentivising upskilling.
If the government is seriously contemplating improving the growing fear of unemployment among the educated youth, it must create a conducive skilled atmosphere for aspirational goals and this would necessitate adopting an integrated approach to the job scene as governmental statistics alone cannot justify any tall claims made on this account.
Yes, it is still possible for
" Ordinary people to choose to be Extraordinary ".
