Medical students at the Saraswathi Institute of Medical Sciences (SIMS) in Hapur, Uttar Pradesh, are protesting against the college administration over issues including inadequate stipends, mental harassment, privacy violations, and excessive fines. They allege that the principal threatens students with failing exams and demand his resignation. They also criticize the inadequate stipend, breach of privacy due to surveillance cameras in hostels, and unnecessary fines. College authorities claim the protest is disruptive and have warned parents of strict legal action if it continues.

The students plan to escalate to a hunger strike if their demands are not met. Dr. Lakshya Mittal of the United Doctors Front Association has condemned the college's actions and called for immediate intervention to uphold students' rights.
